The Tata Harrier EV was officially launched in India on June 3, 2025. Bookings for it began on July 2, 2025. Design & Exterior: The Harrier EV’s design is inspired by its diesel model, but it features some distinct EV-specific changes. It gets a new front fascia with a closed grille, connected LED DRLs, new LED headlights, and aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, connected LED taillights and EV badging give it a distinct identity. It is available in attractive color options like Stealth Black (exclusive to Stealth Edition), Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey, and Pristine White.

Engine, Battery, and Performance: The Harrier EV is available with two battery pack options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh.

  • The 65 kWh battery variant generates 235 bhp of power and 315 Nm of torque and comes with a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) setup. Its ARAI-certified range is 538 km.
  • The 75 kWh battery variant with RWD setup generates 235 bhp of power and 315 Nm of torque, with an ARAI-certified range of 627 km.
  • The top-end variant gets a Dual-Motor Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) setup with the 75 kWh battery, producing a combined power of 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, and its ARAI-certified range is 622 km. This is Tata’s first AWD electric SUV.

It also has Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities, allowing you to charge other electronic devices or even other EVs from your car.

Charging: The Harrier EV supports up to 67W DC fast charging, taking approximately 25 minutes to charge from 20% to 80% (with a 120 kW charger). With a 7.2 kW AC home charger, it takes about 10.7 hours (for the 75 kWh battery) to charge from 10% to 100%.

Interior and Features: The cabin offers a premium experience, featuring a white and grey theme, leatherette upholstery, and dual-digital displays.

  • It comes with a 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen infotainment system, known for its high resolution and vibrant colors. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
  • A 10.25-inch digital driver display is provided for the driver.
  • Other features include a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby 5.1 Atmos, dual-zone climate control, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, and a power tailgate.
  • It also gets EV-specific features like Crawl Mode, Transparent Bonnet Mode (with 540-degree surround view camera), and DrivePay (for FASTag and EV charging payments).
  • Advanced accessibility features like a new circular key fob, NFC key card, and digital key access are also present. It also has a ‘Summon Mode’ to remotely control the car.

Safety: The Tata Harrier EV has received a 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests, making it one of India’s safest SUVs.

  • Safety features include 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System). ADAS features are calibrated for Indian roads.

Tata Harrier EV Price in India:

The starting ex-showroom price of the Tata Harrier EV is ₹21.49 lakh. The QWD (Quad-Wheel Drive) variant starts from ₹28.99 lakh. The top-end variant can go up to ₹30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The 7.2 kW AC fast charger option is available for an additional charge of ₹49,000/-.
