The Norton V4 series, mainly featuring the Norton V4SV and Norton V4CR (Café Racer), is the company’s flagship superbike range. Under the leadership of TVS, Norton has re-engineered these bikes to offer better quality, performance, and reliability.

Norton V4 Availability in India:
TVS Motor Company has confirmed that the Norton brand will enter India by the end of 2025. They are initially planning to launch two exciting models, which will include a flagship superbike. It is likely to be either the Norton V4SV or V4CR. These bikes were also showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
Key Specifications and Features (Norton V4SV/V4CR):
Engine:
- The Norton V4SV/V4CR is powered by a mighty 1200cc, 72-degree, liquid-cooled V4 engine.
- This engine churns out approximately 185 bhp of power (at 12,000 rpm) and 125 Nm of torque (at 9,000 rpm).
- It features titanium inlet valves and an electronic fuel injection system with 8 fuel injectors.
- It’s paired with a 6-speed gearbox that includes a slipper clutch and a full quick shift system.
Design and Build:
- These bikes boast a premium and exclusive design.
- They feature a full carbon-fiber bodywork and a 15-liter carbon-fiber fuel tank (with Kevlar reinforcement) under the seat.
- The frame is an aluminum tubular chassis, hand TIG-welded and polished to a mirror finish.
- The V4SV is a full-faired superbike, while the V4CR is a naked café racer style bike with an exposed aluminum frame and a compact tail unit.
- The weight is approximately 204-206 kg (kerb weight).
Chassis and Suspension:
- These bikes have an aluminum tubular chassis with adjustable geometry, allowing adjustment of rake angle, steering offset, and swingarm pivot.
- For suspension, top-end components from Öhlins are used:
- Front: 43mm Öhlins NIX30 fully-adjustable upside-down forks.
- Rear: Öhlins TTXGP Norton bespoke fully-adjustable rear shock.
- For braking, high-performance brakes from Brembo are featured:
- Front: 2 x 330mm floating discs, radially mounted Brembo monobloc calipers.
- Rear: Brembo 245mm rear disc.
Electronics and Features:
- They come with a 6-inch full-color display with auto-brightness adjustment.
- Three engine modes: Wet, Road, and Sport.
- Electronic aids include lean-angle sensitive traction control (using a 6-axis IMU), wheelie control, and front and rear ABS.
- Keyless ignition system and LED lighting.
- The V4SV also has rear-view camera functionality, though it doesn’t replace traditional rear-view mirrors.
Norton V4 Expected Price in India:
Bikes like the Norton V4SV and V4CR fall into the ultra-premium segment. Their prices in Europe range from over €42,000 (approximately ₹37 lakh) to €44,000 (approximately ₹39 lakh). In India, due to import duties and other charges, their prices could be even higher. The estimated price could be between ₹80 lakh to ₹90 lakh (ex-showroom).
